Methyl-Seq/MRE-Seq

Methylation sensitive restriction enzyme sequencing MSRE/MRE-Seq or Methyl-Seq are protocols that use methylation sensitive restriction enzymes on genomic DNA to study DNA methylation. In this method, genomic DNA is first separately digested with different methylation sensitive restriction enzymes and then library prepped and sequenced. Deep sequencing allows for accurate detection of methylation sites in the genome.
