How Exercise Impacts Our DNA
2015年4月14日

It’s been a well-known fact: the benefits to exercise are endless. Numerous studies have shown exercise improves overall health and wellness, physical strength, and emotional and mental well-being.  But what has not been so clear is how the physical act of exercise drives these benefits.

Carl Sundberg, MD, PhD, a professor of molecular and applied exercise physiology at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, has spent his career trying to understand how exercise makes positive changes to the human body.

He and his team recruited dozens of volunteers to conduct a controlled study, identifying exercise-induced changes in genes associated with muscle adaptation, metabolism, and inflammation.
