国际棉花SNP联盟的基因分型集合是一个含有70,000个标记的芯片，利用Gossypium hirsutum、G. barbadense、G. tomentosum和G. mustelinum的SNP开发。少数微珠类型将适用于G. longicalyx和G. armourianum。此集合有着不同的用途，包括遗传多样性分析、遗传作图、QTL分析、候选基因发现、分子标记辅助选择、基因组选择和基因组序列组装。种内SNP是在种质系上开发并验证的，包括澳大利亚、美国、印度和中国的陆地棉品种。此集合适合作为基本内容，并添加20,000个附加标记，形成定制的棉花基因分型芯片。
