The HumanRef-8 v3.0 Expression BeadChips enable the generation of genome-wide expression profiles for eight samples on a single BeadChip. The BeadChip targets approximately 24,500 well-annotated transcripts with up-to-date content derived from the National Center for Biotechnology Information Reference Sequence (NCBI RefSeq) database (Build 36.2, Release 22).
The HumanRef-8 Expression BeadChips are arranged in an Array of Arrays format, providing multiple arrays on each slide. The arrays are separated from one another by a seal, so that each array can be hybridized to a different sample. Eight samples can than be interrogated simultaneously
- A minimal amount of total RNA (50-500 ng) is required for the single-round in vitro transcription (IVT) reaction
- HumanRef-8 Expression BeadChips use the Direct Hybridization Assay and are scanned on the Illumina BeadArray Reader or iScan system
- The Whole-Genome DASL Assay is based on the HumanRef-8 Expression BeadChip and enables gene expression analysis of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples.
